Plant polyphenols natural products continue be investigated effective treatments the most persistent of human ailments. In this review, fifty novel plant phenolic have been compiled briefly described from previous five years. Select notable species genus Morinda Sophora are further expanded on. Traditional medicine often contain rich diverse mixtures flavonoids, which rare should receive attention. The bioactivity crude extracts, purified can differ greatly, requiring that these interactions mechanisms action greater detail. Novel applications uncommon products, namely mimosine juglone, explored within review. 2019 coronavirus pandemic has resulted abrupt spike related scientific publications: speculation is made regarding future antiviral drug discovery.
